Digital Dreamscapes: An Interview with Artist Nancy Gershman

Graphic artist Nancy Gershman composes her works by combining family photos with symbolic elements in a photomontage. She calls this art “legacy portraiture” and “dreamscape.”
For example, in this photomontage, there are four key elements from different sources: Eva (in a studio portrait, Joseph (head only), the plane (located on Wikipedia) and the molecules found on Google images. The molecules represent the father and son’s interests in the sciences.
